Set up the desk

No account exists yet. Create the first one — you choose the username and password, and only the hash is stored.

Setup code: open your Hostinger file manager and read arihant_data/SETUP_TOKEN.txt, one level above public_html. That folder is not reachable from the web, so only you can see it.

Set your password

You are signed in on a temporary password the owner set. Choose your own before going any further — nobody else should know it.

Getting the desk running

Five things, in order. Each one ticks itself off once it is actually done — this reads the live data, it is not a list you tick by hand.

Adding a desk user

  1. Open the Desk users tab (owners only).
  2. Enter their full name, a username (letters, digits, dot, dash — 3 to 32 characters) and a temporary password of at least 10 characters that you choose.
  3. Pick a role. Desk sees orders, receipts and customers. Owner can also add and disable users — keep that to yourself and at most one deputy.
  4. Press Create user. They appear below marked must set password.
  5. Tell them the username and temporary password directly — a call or in person, not a group chat.
  6. The first time they sign in they are held at a Set your password screen and cannot reach the desk until they have chosen their own. From that moment you no longer know it, which is the point.
Someone forgets their password? Reset password on their row issues a new temporary one and asks them to change it again. Someone leaves? Disable keeps their history in the audit log but ends their access. You cannot disable yourself.

If you are ever locked out

  1. Open the Hostinger file manager and go one level above public_html, into arihant_data.
  2. Create an empty file named RESET_ADMIN.
  3. Load admin.html. Every sign-in is disabled, a fresh setup code is written to SETUP_TOKEN.txt in that same folder, and the trigger file removes itself.
  4. Read the code, set up a new owner account.
Anyone who can put a file in that folder already controls the server, so this adds no new risk. No password is ever written to a file — only its hash is stored, and it is set in the browser by whoever is standing there.

Order limit

The most metal any one order may carry, in grams. Set in hundreds — 100 g, 500 g, 1000 g (1 kg). A limit set against a buyer below overrides this; leave both at 0 for no cap. Grams rather than rupees, so the ceiling does not drift with the rate.

Add a desk user

Give them a temporary password and tell it to them directly. They must set their own the first time they sign in, so you never end up holding a colleague's password. Desk sees orders, receipts and customers. Owner can also manage users.
